How to Use Your Card

At the Pump

  1. Swipe Your Card: Use the card directly at the pump.
  2. Select Credit: If asked, choose “CREDIT” (not debit).
  3. Enter Odometer Reading: If prompted, enter in your current mileage or press 99 to skip.
  4. Enter Driver ID: Input the 4-digit Driver ID you set up.
  5. Pump Fuel: Fill up as usual!

Things to Remember

  • Discounts: The pump won’t show the discounted price. Discounts are applied before the transaction is withdrawn from your account.
  • Transaction Time: It takes 1-3 business days for the transaction to be processed.
  • Pump Only: The card can only be used at the pump, not in-store or for other purchases.
  • Credit Reading: The card is read as ‘credit’ at the pump.

You’ll see discount details on your e-mailed receipt and in the Savings/Rewards tab of the app.

What is a Driver ID?

Your Driver ID is the 4-digit PIN you use to authorize purchases at the pump.

Card Limits

  • Daily Limit: $100
  • Weekly Limit: $400 (resets every Monday at midnight EST)
  • Note: These limits can’t be adjusted.

Where Can I Use the Card?

The card is accepted at most stations that take WEX cards and credit. However, it’s not accepted at:

  • BJs
  • Costco
  • Sam’s Club
  • H-E-B
  • Exxon Mobil
  • Select Walmart stations
  • Select Arco stations

For the latest list of accepting stations, check here. Note: ExxonMobil accepts WEX cards but not Pay With GasBuddy cards.

Love’s Mobile Pay

You can pay for fuel from the GasBuddy app at select Love’s locations*:

  1. Update the App: Make sure you have the latest version.
  2. Find a Station: Go to the Find Gas page and look for a Love’s station with a mobile Pay icon.
  3. Pay with GasBuddy: Tap the “Pay with GasBuddy” button, enter the pump number, and your Driver ID.

*You need an active Pay With GasBuddy card linked to your account to use this feature. Deal Alerts must be activated to receive additional discounts.

At the pump:

  1. Insert or swipe your card at the pump.  If prompted, choose "Fleet Card" or "Fuelman". 
  2. Select your preferred fuel type and fill up!
  3. Your fill-up will be paid from your linked bank account.
  4. Look for your savings in the GasBuddy® app or on your emailed receipt.  Savings may take up to 7 days to display.

In the convenience store: 

  1. Insert or swipe your card at the register.  If prompted, choose "Fleet Card" or "Fuelman" when paying for fuel.
  2. View your progress in the GasBuddy® app

Things to Remember

  • Discounts: Look for your discounted fuel price in the GasBuddy app before you fill up, then you'll see discount details on your emailed receipt and in the Rewards tab of the app.
  • Transaction Time: Transactions take 1-7 business days to process the transaction if you're enrolled in Auto Pay.  If you're enrolled in Manual Bill pay, your transaction will be processed as part of your weekly statement.
