This feature is designed to enhance the security of your card, giving you greater control and peace of mind. This requires you to have the latest version of the GasBuddy app downloaded.
Locking Your Pay with GasBuddy+™ Card
Step 1: Make sure your app is up to date
Confirm that you have the latest version of the app installed.
Step 2: Open your Member Tab
- Tap the Member icon along the bottom of the app
- Toggle the Lock Card switch (Slide the toggle button to the right to lock your card instantly.)
If you don’t see the “Member” tab
You may be using an older version of the app. Follow these steps instead:
- Tap the menu icon in the top-left corner.
- Select Savings Settings.
- Under the "Pay with GasBuddy+™ Account" section (just below your contact card information), you will find the "Lock Your Card" option.
- Slide the toggle button to the right to instantly lock your card.
Unlocking Your Pay with GasBuddy+™ Card

- Tap the Member icon along the bottom of the app
- Toggle the Lock Card switch (Slide the toggle button to the left, until it's greyed out, to unlock your card.)
If you don’t see the “Member” tab
You may be using an older version of the app. Follow these steps instead:
- Tap the menu icon in the top-left corner.
- Select Savings Settings.
- Under the "Pay with GasBuddy+™ Account" section (just below your contact card information), you will find the "Lock Your Card" option.
- Slide the toggle button to the left until it appears grayed out. Your card will now be unlocked.
*Please allow 5 minutes processing time before attempting to use your card after unlocking, and attempting to lock or unlock again.
