Why do I not see the reward from the receipt I uploaded?
How do I upload a receipt?
If you were unable to use the Pay with GasBuddy+™ card, you will need to upload the receipt from your purchase.
Option 1: From the station details page
- Go back to the station details page where you activated the offer.
- Tap “I did not use my card”
- Take a photo of your receipt and answer a few questions.
Note: For some smaller offers, this option may not be available.
Option 2: From your GasBuddy inbox
- After activating an offer, you may receive an inbox message with a link to upload your receipt.
- There is a time limit to upload your receipt.
Note: Some offers require the use of your Pay with GasBuddy+™ card and will not show an upload option.
Your receipt photo must show:
- Station address
- Time of purchase
- Gallons purchased
- Fuel grade
- Payment method
Important: Pre-paid receipts are not accepted. You will need the receipt from the completed transaction printed at the pump or inside the station. A re-print can usually be requested inside the station.
Why can't I upload a receipt?
Some Flash Deals require a Pay with GasBuddy+™ card to redeem the extra savings. If the deal requires the card, we cannot provide credit without it.
Check the fine print of the Flash Deal, which explains whether a Pay with GasBuddy+™ card is required or another payment method is allowed. Using the Pay with GasBuddy+™ card ensures the full discount available is applied.
If receipt upload is available:
- Upload a photo of the original printed receipt (pump or register).
- We cannot accept screenshots, scanned copies, or printed paper copies.
- Make sure the entire receipt is visible, including all edges and details.
Why do I not see the reward from the receipt I uploaded?
After you upload your receipt, GasBack may take 1–10 business days to process and appear in your account.
GasBack may be reduced or declined if:
- You used another discount/loyalty program (other than Pay with GasBuddy+™), which can reduce the discount
- The fuel grade purchased affects the discount
- The purchase was not made within the 4-hour window
- You paid with cash (receipt will not qualify)
- You paid with a mobile wallet (receipt may not qualify)
- You are a Pay with GasBuddy+™ member and didn’t use the card (discount may be reduced)
