Play Games
GasBuddy Games offers you a fun way to earn points that can be redeemed for rewards!
How to Earn

Log In & Enable Tracking:
- To earn and redeem points, you must be logged into your GasBuddy account. If you haven’t created one, be sure to sign up first.
- Enable tracking on your device (A pop-up will appear when you try to access a new game if tracking isn't enabled, reminding you to turn it on). This is necessary to be able to track progress on the games played, and ensure that we're able to reward you with the points you've earned!

Access the GasBuddy Games:
- Open the GasBuddy app and go to the Rewards tab.
- In the Rewards section, you’ll find the GasBuddy Games, where you can start earning points.

Play Games & Complete Achievements:
- Earn points by playing games and completing achievements within each game.
- The points awarded will vary based on the game played and your progress.
- If you've previously downloaded the game, it will not qualify for points, or promotions

Point Processing:
- Once you’ve completed a game milestone, a pending reward will appear on the GasBuddy Rewards Tab
- Pending rewards will provide you with a claim date, for when the rewards will be available (typically, these will be pending for up to 7 days before they are claimable)
- As of the claim date, you will have 7 days to claim their points by tapping the Claim button!

If points are not claimed within the 7-day window, they will unfortunately expire, so make sure to keep an eye out in the Rewards Tab!
Snap Receipts
Snap receipts from any retail purchase made at any convenience store, grocery store, or retailer located in the United States to earn 25 points/receipt! Look for deals in the App to earn even more points!
How to Earn

Open the GasBuddy app
- Make sure you have the latest version of the app downloaded, and that you're logged in with your account

Snap Receipt
- On the Home tab of the app, tap the 'SNAP RECEIPT' button in the top right corner

Center your receipt
- It is recommended to capture all 4 corners in the photo
- Make sure the Date, Total amount, and merchant name is clearly listed on the receipt

Point Processing:
It may take up to 48 hours for your earned points to appear in your account after completing each step.
Limits
Receipts must be submitted within 14 days of purchase. Snap up to 10 receipts per day and up to 20 receipts per week. The weekly receipt snap limit is calculated on a continuously rolling basis. For example, if a user Snaps 10 Eligible Receipts at 4:00PM ET on Tuesday (the "First Receipt Snap Date"), Snaps 5 Eligible Receipts at 5:00PM ET on Wednesday (the "Second Receipt Snap Date"), and then Snaps 5 Eligible Receipts at 3:00PM ET on Thursday (the "Third Receipt Snap Date"), that user will not get Points for any additional Receipt Snaps until 4:00PM ET on the Tuesday following the First Receipt Snap Date (at which point the user can Snap up to 10 Eligible Receipts). In addition, no more than 3 receipts from the same merchant for purchases made on the same calendar day may be submitted, and in no event may a user snap more than 7 receipts from the same calendar day at any time. The foregoing daily and weekly limitation on Points with respect to the General Receipt Snap Program is referred to herein as the "General Receipt Snap Limitation". GasBuddy reserves the right to modify the Eligible Receipt Snap limit.
Uploaded receipts must be your personal receipts, you may not submit a receipt for a purchase made by another person. For more information please review our Terms of Service and the GasBuddy Master Rewards Terms & Conditions.
Deals
Earn more points on everyday essentials with GasBuddy Deals!
How to Earn

Open the GasBuddy app
- Ensure the latest version is installed and that you're logged in.

Find a Deal
- Select Deals from your Home tab, or "Find a Deal" within the Rewards tab of the app.

Clip the Deal
- Clip the deal before scanning your receipt.* You should clip the deal you plan on redeeming if clipping is needed. If the offer does not require you to clip it, you'll automatically earn points.

Scan Your Receipt
- Scan your receipt from the main deals page. When you scan a receipt, it's evaluated against all eligible offers in a single scan. This includes every no-clip offer and every offer you've clipped!

Earn Points!
- You will earn points for each qualifying offer found on that receipt. You only need to scan the receipt once.
* If the offer is not clipped before the receipt is scanned, the receipt will not qualify for points.

GasBuddy Activities
Within the Rewards tab of the app, you will be able to earn points for Marketplace Deals, Financial Deals, or completing Surveys!

Enable Tracking
To ensure we can issue points for your deal we will need you to enable tracking. You will need to:
- Open SettingsTap Privacy & SecurityTap Tracking
- Turn on Allow apps to Request to Track
- Make sure tracking is enabled for GasBuddy

Turn off iCloud Private Relay, if enabled

- Make sure you have the latest version of the app downloaded, and that you're logged in with your GasBuddy account.

Access the Rewards tab
- Open the GasBuddy app and go to the Rewards tab.
- In the Rewards Tab of the app, you will find many ways to earn.

Complete Activities to earn points:
Financial Deals may include insurance, investing, or tax-related services.
Marketplace Deals may include retail, apps, subscriptions, or streaming services.
Surveys are research opportunities that may enable you to earn points by answering questions from brands.

Point Processing:
- Once you’ve completed an activity, a pending reward will appear at the top of the Rewards tab, this can sometimes take up to 90 days.
- A pending reward will typically be pending for up to 15 days before it is claimable.
- As of the claim date, you will have 7 days to claim their points by tapping the Claim button!
- If points are not claimed within the 7 day window, they will unfortunately expire, so make sure to keep an eye out in the Rewards Tab!
Challenges
Earn more points by completing a task within a certain time frame!
How to Earn

Open the GasBuddy app
- Make sure you have the latest version of the app downloaded, and that you're logged in with your GasBuddy account.

Find a Challenge to complete
- Open the GasBuddy app and go to the Rewards tab.
- In the Rewards section, you’ll find the Timed Challenges section, click "Select" to pick a challenge

Complete the Challenge
- You can select one Challenge to complete, and won't be able to switch once you've chosen
- Click "Start" in order to take action
- The Challenge must be completed within the countdown provided in order to earn the reward

Point Processing:
- Once you’ve completed the Challenge, a pending reward will appear at the top of the Rewards Tab
- You will have 7 days to claim your points by tapping the Claim button!
- If points are not claimed within the 7 day window, they will unfortunately expire, so make sure to keep an eye out in the Rewards Tab!
Dining (previously known as Card Linked Offers)
Link an eligible card to earn points on everyday purchases. If you have a card enrolled in the Dining program, you earn 40 points for every dollar spent at participating restaurants, (change in effect since April 2026).
How to Earn

Link a Card
- Open the GasBuddy app and confirm you have the latest version installed.
- Tap the Main Menu button (top left corner), then tap More Ways to Save, then Manage Linked Cards.
- Tap Link Your First Card (or Link Additional Card if you already have one linked) and follow the prompts.

Browse and Activate an Offer
- Browse available Dining offers in the Dining section of the Rewards tab.
- Tap Activate on an offer to link it to your card. Offers must be activated before your purchase to be eligible for points.

Make a Qualifying Purchase
- Use your linked card to make a purchase that meets the terms and conditions listed in the offer's details.
- Qualifying dining purchases at participating restaurants earn 40 points per dollar spent

Point Processing:
- Points typically post to your account within 1 to 3 business days (Monday through Friday, excluding holidays) after your qualifying purchase.
- Expiration dates and processing timeframes vary by offer; check the specific offer's details page for exact terms.
- If your points do not post automatically within the timeframe listed in the offer's details, keep your receipt. We may need it to investigate.
Eligible Cards
- Eligible: Mastercard, Visa, and American Express credit cards.
- Not eligible: Discover and Diners Club cards, Macy's American Express cards, corporate and purchasing cards, Health Savings Account (HSA) cards, Flexible Spending Account (FSA) cards, government-administered prepaid cards (including EBT cards), insurance prepaid cards, and Visa Buxx.
- Store-branded cards are not eligible, even if they carry a major network logo (for example, a Home Depot credit card). These are processed through the store's own bank rather than through Mastercard, Visa, or American Express, so we have no way to receive the transaction details needed to award points.
- Mobile wallet cards (Apple Pay, Google Pay, or Samsung Pay) are not recommended. Mastercard, Visa, and American Express do not consistently share mobile wallet transaction details with us, so points cannot be reliably awarded. Use a physical card instead.
- You can use a debit card, but you must select "credit" instead of entering your PIN at checkout (you'll sign a receipt instead). If you enter your PIN, we will not receive your transaction details and you will not earn points.
- Your Pay with GasBuddy card cannot be linked and does not work for Dining offers. It can only be used at the pump or inside the convenience store at that station, and fuel purchases made with it are withdrawn directly from your linked checking account. Managing Your Linked Cards

View or link a card
- Open the GasBuddy app and tap the Main Menu button (top left corner).
- Tap More Ways to Save, then Manage Linked Cards.
- To link a new card, tap Link Your First Card or Link Additional Card and follow the prompts.

Unlink a card
- Follow the same steps above to reach Manage Linked Cards.
- Tap Remove beside the card you want to unlink.
- You can link as many cards as you'd like, though we recommend keeping it to about four so they're easy to manage.
Limits
- You must have a registered GasBuddy account in the United States to earn points through Dining, and you must be using the latest version of the app.
- Orders placed by phone are not eligible for points. Online orders may be eligible; check the Online section of the Rewards tab for participating options.
- You do not need to upload your receipt for a qualifying purchase, but keep it on hand in case your points do not post automatically and we need it to investigate.
- Your card data is stored in a secure, encrypted environment certified compliant by the Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council (PCI). For more on how your information is handled, see our [Terms of Service] and [Privacy Policy].
- To review your Dining points and transactions, see View Points History above. If you have a Pay with GasBuddy+ card, that same screen also lets you toggle to Fuel transactions.
Daily Streaks and Bonus Points
Head to the Rewards tab daily to earn a daily streak, once you've earned a 3-day streak you will be presented with a bonus points wheel! Each day you keep your streak you'll earn bonus points by spinning the wheel.
Additionally, you may be presented with Achievements that will allow you to earn bonus points, these achievements will only be available once**, so make sure to check them daily!
** Achievements may expire at any time, without prior notice. If you a user has begun an achievement and not completed it prior to expiration you will no longer be eligible to earn the bonus points.
Tracking Your Points Balance
- Your points balance can be viewed in two places:
- On the Home tab under the Find Gas section.
- In the Rewards tab under both Earn and Redeem sections.
View Points History
- To review how points were earned or spent, go to the Rewards tab, tap “View Transactions” in the top right corner, then tap Rewards to see a list of point transactions!
Points Limitations
- You can bank up to 500,000 points at any given time.
- Point expiration: Points will expire after 90 days of inactivity (no points earned in a 90-day period).
- 500,000 points is the maximum you can redeem in any calendar year. (resets January 1st)
