Enrollment and participation in the GasBuddy Paid Membership Services (the “Membership Service”) is governed by these GasBuddy Paid Membership Terms of Service ("Membership Terms"), Pay with GasBuddy+ Cardholder Agreement (defined below), GasBuddy Privacy Policy, and GasBuddy Terms of Service (“Terms of Service) (together, “GasBuddy Terms”), including terms for Arbitration of Disputes. These Membership Terms supplement (and are considered “additional terms” under) the Terms of Service. Additional terms specific to the Membership Service are set forth below. Unless otherwise defined below, all terms have the same meaning as in the GasBuddy Terms of Service.
1. Acceptance Of Terms
By enrolling in and using the Membership Service, you agree that you are intending to form a legally binding contract between yourself and GasBuddy and agree to be bound by all of the GasBuddy Terms, including these Membership Terms. As a condition for enrolling and participating in the Membership Service you must first (i) enroll in the Pay with GasBuddy+ Program, (ii) elect the “Auto-Pay” option and (iii) agree to the Pay with GasBuddy+ Mastercard Charge Card Agreement (the “Cardholder Agreement”).
Upon completion of the GasBuddy Membership enrollment process ("Enrollment") and acceptance of your Enrollment by GasBuddy, you will become eligible to use the Membership Service as set forth in these Membership Terms. The features of the Membership may be updated from time to time by GasBuddy. In the event any future changes require issuing you a new Pay with GasBuddy+ Payment Card (“PayCard”), we will send you your new PayCard by postal mail to the address associated with your account with instructions on how to activate the new PayCard.
2. Enrollment Requirements
You must be at least 18 years of age (or the age of majority in your place of residence, if higher than 18 years old) to enroll in the Membership Service. You agree to provide true, accurate, current and complete information about yourself as prompted during Enrollment (“Enrollment Data”) and maintain updated and accurate Enrollment Data. If you provide any information that is untrue, inaccurate, not current, or incomplete, or if GasBuddy has reasonable grounds to suspect that such data is untrue, inaccurate, not current, or incomplete, we have the right to suspend or terminate the Membership Service and refuse any and all current or future use of the Membership Service (or any portion thereof). By enrolling in and using the Membership Service, in addition to the GasBuddy Terms, you agree to comply with all applicable federal, state and local laws, rules and regulations. Your failure to comply with the Terms of Service, including those contained in this section shall be deemed a waiver of any and all claims against GasBuddy for any losses you may sustain from using the Membership Service.
3. Enrollment and Fees; Auto-Renewal; Cancellation
Your Membership Service account will be subject to a membership fee (the “Fee”) as set forth in the Enrollment process.
Monthly and Annual Fee Installments. If you enroll in an annual Membership Service, you will be charged the stated annual membership Fee in a single lump sum. The annual membership fee is non-refundable. If you elect to terminate your annual membership, such termination will only become effective at the end of the then-current annual Billing Cycle (defined below) of your Membership Service.
If you enroll in a monthly Membership Service, you will be charged the stated membership fee monthly. The monthly membership fee is non-refundable. If, you elect to terminate your monthly payment membership such termination will only become effective at the end of the then-current Billing Cycle of your Membership Service.
Memberships Enrolled In Via App-Store. In the event that GasBuddy offers - and you purchase - a Membership Service through a third-party platform, app store, or other distributor (e.g., Apple, Google Play) (any, an “App Store”), your billing relationship will be directly with (and subject to the policies of) the applicable App Store and your Fees will be billed as an in-app purchase or otherwise charged to your account with the third-party App Store. For purposes of these Membership Terms, this is referred to as an “In-App Membership.”
Auto-Renewal. Your Membership Service renews automatically at the end your monthly or yearly billing cycle (“Billing Cycle”) at which time you will be billed the then-current Fee associated with your Membership Service, unless you choose to cancel prior to the start of your next Billing Cycle. If you were offered a special promotional price upon Enrollment, the price will change to the then-current regular price upon renewal.
Notice of Renewal. If you’ve elected to enroll in an annual Membership Service, we will send you a notice of your upcoming renewal prior to your annual renewal date. Such notice will be sent by email to the email address you supply in connection with your GasBuddy account. It is your responsibility to keep the email address associated with your GasBuddy account current to ensure you receive renewal notices. GasBuddy is not responsible for non-delivered notices due to faulty or out-of-date email addresses or other causes beyond its control. Your renewal notice will include instructions for how to cancel your Membership Service if you do not wish your Membership Service to renew automatically.
Cancellation Instructions. You can cancel at any time by any of the methods listed below. To avoid being charged for a subsequent Billing Cycle, you must cancel your Membership Service by 11:59:59 PM, PT on the last day of your then-current Billing Cycle. Your cancellation will be effective as of the end of your then-current Billing Cycle at 11:59:59 PM, PT. When you cancel your Membership Service, you may continue to use the Membership Service until the end of the then-current Billing Cycle for which you’ve previously paid, after which your access to the Membership Service will terminate. To cancel your Membership:
- Log into your GasBuddy account through the GasBuddy app or website. Go to your Pay with GasBuddy+ Account’s Saving Settings and select “Cancel Membership.”

In the event that GasBuddy offers an In-App Membership to which you’ve enrolled, you must cancel your membership by disabling automatic renewal of your Membership Service using the procedures established by the applicable App Store. To avoid future charges, you must disable automatic renewal by the deadline set out by the applicable App Store.
4. Description of the Membership Service & Benefits
- Discounts on Retail Fuel Purchases. As part of your Enrollment, you will be informed of the eligible discounts on retail fuel purchases associated with your Enrollment (the “Membership Fuel Discount”). The Membership Fuel Discount is a per-gallon discount that is limited to a defined number of gallons of gasoline purchased during a given monthly cycle (each a “Monthly Cycle”). Your first Monthly Cycle begins either on the later date of (i) your Enrollment, or (ii) the activation of your PayCard.
Your Monthly Cycle will often begin on the same calendar day each month. However, if you enroll in a monthly Membership Service and the start date of your Monthly Cycle does not occur every month (such as the 31st day of a month), then in any month lacking that date, the last day of the month will be when your next Monthly Cycle begins.
EXAMPLE: If you are enrolled in a monthly Membership Service, and your first Monthly Cycle starts July 15, your next Monthly Cycle starts August 15.
EXAMPLE: If your first Monthly Cycle starts August 31, your next Monthly Cycle starts September 30 (but goes back to the 31st in October).
EXAMPLE: If your first Monthly Cycle starts January 29, your next Monthly Cycle starts February 28 (but goes back to the 29th in March).
All Monthly Cycle dates and times are measured by Pacific Time (“PT”), regardless of where you are physically located. Be sure to carefully review your Monthly Cycle start/end dates and times, as they may not align with your local time zone. You are responsible for noting any differences between PT and your local time zone.
Unused Gallons. Unused gallons made available to you as part of the Membership Fuel Discount during any Monthly Cycle expire at the end of that Monthly Cycle. Unused gallons will not roll over to your next Monthly Cycle.
Application of Membership Fuel Discount. The Membership Fuel Discount you receive on any eligible purchase will be applied at the time of Automated Clearing House (ACH) withdrawal for that purchase in accordance with the Cardholder Agreement. GasBuddy reserves the right to offer varying Membership Fuel Discount programs as part of different promotional programs. Your Membership Fuel Discount will be governed by these Membership Terms.
Any activated deal alerts in the App are in addition to the standard Membership Fuel Discount.
Subscription Pricing. GasBuddy offers two membership tiers: the GasBuddy Plus Membership and GasBuddy Premium Membership (together, the “Membership Service(s)”).
You may Enroll in either Membership Service on a month-to-month or annual basis. Your Membership Service account will be subject to a membership Fee set forth during Enrollment (the “Fee”). Fees are charged to the user’s PayCard. GasBuddy may suspend or terminate your Membership Service if GasBuddy is unable to process payment for the Fee via your PayCard. For more information about the PayCard payment process and default, refer to the Pay with GasBuddy+™ Cardholder Agreement.
GasBuddy Premium members enjoy all of the fuel savings benefits of the GasBuddy Plus Membership as well as (i) 24/7 roadside assistance provided by Signature Motor Club, an Allstate company, up to 2 events per year, (ii) RepairPal automotive repair referral services, (iii) two times (2X) GasBuddy Points on GasBuddy Games play, and (iv) ) Priority Assistance (each, as described below).
- Roadside Assistance Program for GasBuddy Premium Members
GasBuddy Premium Membership includes participation in the roadside assistance program (the “Roadside Assistance Program”). The Roadside Assistance Program is administered by Signature Motor Club (“SMC”). If you elect to participate in the GasBuddy Premium Membership, the benefits of the Roadside Assistance Program will become available to you beginning 72 hours following your Enrollment in the GasBuddy Premium Membership Service. SMC is responsible for providing the benefits described below, including all limits and restrictions set out in these Membership Terms. SMC is responsible for obtaining any information from you necessary to provide the Roadside Assistance Program, including but not limited to your name, email address, and home address. To the extent required by applicable law, SMC’s collection and use of your personal information in connection with the Roadside Services provided by your Membership Service is governed by SMC’s privacy policy, available here.
Confirming Your Eligibility for Roadside Assistance Services. Your use of Roadside Services (as defined below) is limited to non-commercial passenger vehicles only. If you request Roadside Services from SMC and SMC is unable to verify your eligibility for Roadside Services based on SMC’s records, SMC or their authorized Roadside Services provider (“Service Provider”) may offer you roadside services outside the scope of the Membership Service on a pay-per-use basis, at your sole expense. GasBuddy will not reimburse you for Roadside Services you elect to purchase in the event that SMC cannot confirm your Roadside Assistance Services eligibility.
Roadside Assistance Services Provided by SMC. GasBuddy Premium members have access to the following services in the Roadside Assistance Program (collectively, the “Roadside Services”), subject to certain limitations (described below):
a) Towing Service - When a passenger vehicle will not start or cannot be driven safely, it will be towed from the point of disablement to a destination of your preference. Towing service is limited to a maximum of five (5) miles from the point of disablement. Additional towing mileage can be provided at an additional fee of $5.51 per mile pro-rated in 1/10 mile increments, at your sole expense. Unless prohibited by local or state regulation, you must pay for additional towing mileage at the time the service is rendered.
b) Flat Tire Service - If the passenger vehicle has a “flat” or deflated tire, and your passenger vehicle contains an inflated and serviceable spare tire that is immediately available to SMC or their Service Provider, SMC or their Service Provider will remove the flat tire and replace it with your provided spare tire. If no inflated spare tire is available, the vehicle will be towed in accordance with the Towing Service provision above.
c) Jump Start Service - Service is provided to “boost” or “jump start” a dead battery to start the passenger vehicle. Expenses for repairs, parts and labor related to the repair or replacement of your vehicle’s battery are your sole responsibility, payable directly to the service facility, and are not reimbursable by GasBuddy.
d) Out of Gas - A limited supply of fuel of up to two (2) gallons, where allowed by law, will be delivered by a Service Provider to the disabled passenger vehicle to enable you to reach the nearest open service station. You are responsible for the cost of the up to two (2) gallons of fuel provided to you as part of this service.
e) Lockout Assistance - If your keys are locked inside the passenger vehicle, a Service Provider will attempt to gain entrance to the passenger vehicle. The lockout assistance benefit is limited to $60 worth of services provided by the Service Provider. Any additional costs are your sole responsibility. In cases where the passenger vehicle cannot be made operable (for example, where the Service Provider cannot gain entrance to the Passenger Vehicles), towing will be provided in accordance with the towing provision above.
f) Winching - An eligible passenger vehicle will be winched by a Service Provider when it can be safely serviced from a paved public road or paved private road if the Service Provider is able to gain access to the road. Maximum distance for winching is 30 feet. Maximum covered benefit is limited to labor costs of one man for one-half hour as charged by the Service Provider; any additional time and charges needed for winching will be your sole responsibility. You should ask the Service Provider in advance for an estimate of anticipated charges for winching your vehicle. Extraction of vehicles embedded in mud, water, snow or similar material is not a covered benefit.
g) Services not specifically listed above are not included in the Roadside Assistance Program.
SMC’s obligation is limited to the Roadside Services specifically described above. If you exceed the available limits on the Roadside Services as listed above, you acknowledge that you are solely responsible for any out of pocket expenses you incur in requesting additional services not provided by your GasBuddy Premium Membership.
Two Dispatches Per Year Maximum. SMC will provide Roadside Services to you, as outlined above, with up to two (2) dispatches covered during any 12-month period, per member, measured from the date of Enrollment. SMC’s obligation is limited to the Roadside Services specifically described above. If you exceed the available two (2) dispatches per 12-month period maximum provided by your GasBuddy Premium Membership, you acknowledge that you are solely responsible for any out of pocket expenses you incur for requested or provided roadside services.
Unavailability of Roadside Services. In the event any Roadside Service is requested but not available, it will not count toward the two (2) dispatches per year that your Membership Service provides you.
You recognize that in some instances, SMC may be unable to provide Roadside Services or locate a Service Provider to provide Roadside Services. Additionally, you recognize that, due to severe weather or other circumstances beyond SMC’s and GasBuddy’s control, SMC or their Service Providers may not be able to provide Roadside Services, or no Service Provider may be available for dispatch for an extended period of time. In the event of any such unavailability, you acknowledge that you are solely responsible for any additional out of pocket expenses you incur by requesting roadside assistance services that are outside the scope of your GasBuddy Premium Membership (including, for example, if you request services from a company other than SMC).
GasBuddy will not facilitate or pay for any Roadside Services or Membership Services in furtherance of any criminal activity or in the aftermath of a crime. This includes, but is not limited to, Roadside Services that would conceal or alter evidence of illegal activities. If GasBuddy determines after-the-fact that a Roadside Service was rendered to you in connection with a criminal activity, GasBuddy reserves the right to invoice you for the full cost of the Roadside Service and recoup any amounts previously paid to SMC or their Service Providers. GasBuddy reserves the right to refuse Roadside Services and other benefits provided by your Membership Service, terminate Membership Services, and report suspected criminal activity to appropriate law enforcement authorities.
- Automobile Repair Referral Services
GasBuddy Premium Membership includes participation in the automobile repair referral service program (the “Repair Referral Program”). The Repair Referral Program is administered by RepairPal, Inc. (“RepairPal”). If you elect to participate in the Premium Membership Service, the benefits of the Repair Referral Program become available to you immediately upon your Enrollment in the Membership Service. RepairPal is responsible for providing the Repair Referral Program and related benefits described below, including all limitations and restrictions set out in these Membership Terms.
RepairPal may require you to provide certain personal information (including, but not limited to, your name, email address, phone number, and home address) in order to deliver the services. RepairPal’s collection and use of your information will be governed by its Privacy Policy, available at https://repairpal.com/privacy_policy
Services Provided by RepairPal. GasBuddy Premium members have access to the following services in the Roadside Referral Program (collectively, the “Repair Services”), subject to certain limitations (described below):
Dedicated Repair Hotline (RepairPal Car Genius Hotline)
GasBuddy Premium Members will have access to a dedicated telephone number that will be accessible in your Pay with GasBuddy+ account screen in the GasBuddy App (the “Car Genius Hotline”). The Car Genius Hotline is staffed by qualified RepairPal automotive experts.
The Car Genius Hotline is available Monday through Sunday, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Central Time.
Automotive Maintenance, Repair, and Service Information
Members may use RepairPal’s Car Genius Hotline to:
- Ask questions and receive expert answers about repair, maintenance, and diagnostic issues.
- Obtain troubleshooting guidance for vehicle performance concerns.
- Receive free, standardized automobile repair cost estimates based on location and vehicle type.
Repair Shop Referral Network
Members will gain access to RepairPal’s nationwide network of certified repair facilities.
Benefits of this network include:
Fair Price Guarantee: Estimates are based on RepairPal’s established price guidelines.
Satisfaction Guarantee: Work completed by participating repair shops is backed by RepairPal’s customer satisfaction commitments.
Convenient Booking: Assistance with locating and scheduling service at participating shops.
Participation in the Repair Services is subject to RepairPal’s Terms of Service, found here: https://repairpal.com/terms_of_service
Limitations & Exclusions
RepairPal provides referral and advisory services only; RepairPal does not perform repairs, maintenance, or roadside assistance.
GasBuddy and RepairPal are not responsible for the quality, timeliness, or outcome of work performed by independent repair facilities. All services provided by repair shops are governed by their own terms, warranties, and guarantees.
Estimates provided through the program are for informational purposes only and may vary depending on the specific diagnosis, vehicle condition, or regional labor and parts costs.
Availability of repair facilities may vary by geographic region.
The Repair Referral Program is not a substitute for emergency roadside assistance, insurance coverage, or manufacturer/dealer warranties.
Disclaimers
Neither GasBuddy nor RepairPal guarantees that use of the Repair Referral Program will resolve any repair or maintenance issue.
Members remain solely responsible for selecting and contracting with a repair facility, and for all payments to such facilities.
GasBuddy and RepairPal reserve the right to modify or terminate the Repair Referral Program, or any component thereof, at any time.
- 2X Points Rewards for Playing GasBuddy Games
GasBuddy Premium Membership also includes the benefit of Premium members earning two times (2X) the number of published GasBuddy Rewards Points for completing any GasBuddy gaming activities (the “2X Gaming Rewards”).
In order to receive 2X the number of published Points on all gaming activities, a member enrolled in the Premium Membership Service must go to the Rewards Tab in the GasBuddy mobile app and follow the on-screen links and instructions to navigate to the gaming area. The gaming area will list applicable Points-earning games and activities, along with any specific requirements, conditions, and limitations that apply to those earning opportunities. Users will be redirected to the applicable app store to download an eligible game. Users must accept any in-app terms and conditions from GasBuddy, as well as all in-app terms and conditions of the game itself, in order to be eligible to earn Points for gameplay. When users initially launch an eligible game you have downloaded, users must follow all on-screen prompts to allow for app tracking.
2X Gaming Rewards applies only to published GasBuddy Gaming Rewards Points. 2X Gaming Rewards does not apply to special offers. 2X Gaming Rewards Points are limited to 30,000 Points per calendar month. For purposes of calculating the cap on 2X Gaming Rewards Points, the number of 2X Gaming Rewards Points will reset on the first day of each calendar month. There is a cap of 500,000 Points on the base number of published Points that can be earned from GasBuddy gaming activities (see the GasBuddy Rewards Terms [ https://www.gasbuddy.com/disclaimer#rewards-terms]. 2X Gaming Rewards Points may take up to 45 days to be credited to your account.
- Priority Support
If you are enrolled in the GasBuddy Premium Membership Service, you will also be entitled to access Priority Support via a dedicated phone number that will be accessible in your Pay with GasBuddy+ account screen in the GasBuddy App. GasBuddy Premium Members will be routed to a dedicated GasBuddy support team members to ensure faster resolution of any support issues or questions.
Priority Support is intended to provide members with faster assistance, including prioritized placement in the support queue and access to representatives trained to address Membership Service inquiries. While GasBuddy will make reasonable efforts to ensure faster response and resolution times, actual response or resolution times may vary depending on the nature and complexity of the issue, call volume, and other operational considerations.
The scope of Priority Support includes assistance with:
- Questions regarding Membership Service features, billing, or account management.
- Troubleshooting technical issues related to the Membership Service.
- Guidance on how to maximize the use of Membership Service benefits.
Priority Support does not guarantee instantaneous resolution, nor does it extend to issues outside the Membership Service, such as unrelated third-party products or services, or any matters not directly connected to GasBuddy Premium Membership.
GasBuddy reserves the right to monitor, record, and review support calls for quality assurance and training purposes. Abuse of the Priority Support feature, including but not limited to excessive or unreasonable call volumes, may result in suspension or termination of this benefit at GasBuddy’s discretion
5. Transfer, Suspension and Closure of Accounts
As an enrollee, your right to use the Membership Service is non-transferable. In the event of an unpaid balance or insufficient funds related to your PayCard account, including insufficient funds to pay the Fee for the Membership Service, or if you close your bank account, file for bankruptcy protection, or your account is subject to judgment or lien, GasBuddy may, in its sole and absolute discretion, terminate your PayCard account and discontinue your access to the Membership Services.
If you elect to terminate your GasBuddy account (see Section 8(F) of the Terms of Service), your access to all Membership Services, including Membership Fuel Discounts and Roadside Services will also terminate. If you elect to terminate your GasBuddy account, GasBuddy will not refund any Fees paid toward your then-current Billing Cycle.
6. Receipts
Membership Fuel Discounts that will be applied at the time of ACH withdrawal for fuel purchases, and Fees related to your Enrollment that are charged to your PayCard, are reflected in the GasBuddy receipts provided in the GasBuddy mobile app and by email following purchase. The amount shown on a merchant receipt for fuel purchases will not reflect any Membership Fuel Discount.
7. Termination
You agree that GasBuddy may cancel or suspend the Membership Service, or terminate your participation in the Member Service, in GasBuddy’s sole and absolute discretion, at any time, for any reason with or without prior notice at which time you will be entitled to a pro-rated refund of Fees for the remainder of your then-current Billing Cycle, unless the reason for the termination is your material breach of any terms applicable to your Membership Service account.
You may terminate your participation in the Membership Service at any time by using any method listed in Section 3 above; provided however, your membership Fees are non-refundable.
You agree that termination by you or us will not affect any of our or your rights or your obligations arising prior to the effective date of the termination.
8. Notice of Changes
For existing members, we will notify you of any impending Fee change in advance. Fee changes will apply to your next Billing Cycle. If you do not agree to a Fee change, you may terminate your membership prior to that change taking effect at the start of your next Billing Cycle.
We may introduce, change, or remove features and benefits of the Membership Services at any time in our sole discretion. New or additional features or benefits may be included as part of - or may be priced separately from - existing Membership Services, at our sole discretion. We may provide you with notices, including those regarding changes to the Membership Service or these Membership Terms, by email or other reasonable means determined by GasBuddy. For existing subscribers, we will notify you of any impending price change in advance. If you do not agree to changes to the Membership Service or these Subscription Terms, you may terminate your membership prior to that change taking effect during your next Billing Cycle.
