When a transaction is returned to GasBuddy unpaid by your financial institution, a return fee is added to the transaction before it is rebilled through your bank account. This fee is separate from any fees that your bank may charge for such returns*.
When you conduct a transaction through our Service, you are responsible for ensuring that the funds are available at the time of the transaction and up until the time as the transaction is processed and posted to your account.
*Your bank, at their own discretion, may charge an insufficient funds fee (also known as an NSF, a chargeback, or an overdraft fee) in the event you do not have enough funds in your account to pay for a transaction made with the Pay with GasBuddy card. These fees can range between $25-$50 and are collected by your bank. While your statement may show `GASBUDDY` in the line description of an insufficient funds fee (NSF, chargeback, or overdraft fee), this is simply to inform you of the transaction that caused the fee, this fee is not imposed by, or the responsibility of GasBuddy.
