Reporting a lost, stolen, or damaged card
If you have the GasBuddy® app, follow these steps to report a lost, stolen or damaged card:
*These instructions will only work if your card has been activated previously. If your card has not been activated please submit a request here*
- Ensure you're on the latest version of the GasBuddy app
- Open the app and tap the profile button (top-left)
- Tap 'Manage your Pay with GasBuddy Account'
- Select "Request New Card"
- Follow the prompts to get a new card.
You may be prompted to accept a small shipping fee and verify your current address. Once you have done so, your card will be deactivated and a new card will be shipped.
Note: Please reset your Driver ID as soon as you know your card is lost or stolen to prevent unauthorized use. If needed the instructions to reset are below.

Resetting your driver ID
If you forget your Driver ID you can reset it in the app or on the web.
Reset Driver ID in the app
- Ensure you're on the latest version of the GasBuddy app
- Open the app and tap the profile button (top-left)
- Tap 'Manage your Pay with GasBuddy Account'
- Select "Reset Driver ID"
- Follow the prompts to reset your Driver ID
For older versions of the GasBuddy app:
- Tap into Savings, and press the settings button (top-right)
- Select "Reset Driver ID"
- Follow the prompts to reset your Driver ID
Reset Driver ID on the web
Visit gasbuddy.com/account/savings from your browser. Here you will be prompted to sign in. After signing in, you will have the option to reset your Driver ID.
Being prompted to sign up again
If you are being prompted to sign up again when visiting the savings section, this means you are not signed in to the right account.
Please make sure you are signed in to the account with the same email address you signed up to the Pay program with. To check which account you are signed in with, go into the app, click the profile button in the top left corner of the home screen and click Edit Profile. Scroll down to view the email address you are currently signed in with.
If you are logged in with a different email address, go back to the main menu, click on Settings at the bottom of the screen. Scroll to the bottom and click Log Out, then sign in with the correct email address.
Once you are logged in with the correct account, you will be able to visit the Savings section to view your account.
Having more than one card per account
At this time, each account may only have one Pay with GasBuddy card; however, more than one card can be linked to a single checking account.
In order to do this, each person must use their own GasBuddy account to enroll in Pay With GasBuddy separately and will each have their own unique Pay With GasBuddy card.
Deactivating your Pay with GasBuddy account
We hope to include this functionality directly in the app in the near future.
In the meantime, to cancel your Pay With GasBuddy card please submit a ticket using the link below. Be sure to select "Cancel Account" from the Account Information drop-down menu.
