Are there limits on how much fuel can be purchased?
To help prevent abuse and fraud, there is a $100 daily limit and a $400 weekly limit on Pay With GasBuddy. These limits reset Monday, around midnight EST.
At this time, these limits can't be adjusted.
What does Invalid Driver ID mean at the pump?
Your driver ID is the 4-digit number you create when the card is activated. If you're seeing this message at the pump, it means that the Driver ID being entered isn't the Driver ID set up for your card. You can reset this number at any time if needed. Find instructions for resetting your Driver ID HERE.
If you've received an email that your Driver ID has been reset and you didn't request this change, Reset your Driver ID and update your account password.
Are there stations that don't accept the Pay With GasBuddy card?
The following brands do not accept Pay With GasBuddy, as they are either already typically discounted, or simply not participating:
- BJs
- Costco
- Sam's Club
- H-E-B
- Exxon Mobil
- Select Walmart stations
- Select Arco stations
For the most up-to-date list of accepting stations, you can view all WEX accepted locations HERE. While ExxonMobil accepts WEX cards, they do not accept Pay With GasBuddy cards at this time.
How do I pay my Outstanding Balance?
If you have an outstanding balance on your account your card will be deactivated. Because banks can take a number of days to fully process transactions, your card will be reactivated when the transaction is withdrawn successfully- typically within 3-5 business days after you see that transaction on your bank statement. This ensures that there were no errors experienced while processing the transaction.
